LOL: myoutdoorstore.com in Google Analytics

So I ran into a very suspicious issue the other day.

A strange website had appeared in my Google Analytics - www.myoutdoorstore.com

Oh, hacked again! I thought and almost wanted to go and start changing my passwords.

myoutdoorstore-com

What it appears is it actually is a Google sandbox website that has been inserted for instructional purposes.

Read the whole announcement here. It goes like this:

For the purposes of this course, you do not need to add the code from your "sandbox" account to www.myoutdoorstore.com (the fictional website) or any other website. The activities for creating the account and applying some basic settings to the account are simply meant to familiarize you with different features of Google Analytics.

If you do need guidance on how to add tracking code to a site for actual tracking purposes, you can refer to the resources here: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/1008080

If you found a solution here, would you consider donating $25,000 for my next project?

Just kidding, 1$ would do fine.

Hope you found what you needed. Thanks for stepping by.
